The 🧹 Clean data tool finds duplicate records (by DOI or identical normalized title) and merges them keeping the highest-cited copy; groups author name variants that share a surname and first initial (e.g. "A. Inam", "Inam, A.", "Aneeq Inam") for one-click unification; and suggests keyword merge rules (plural/singular, hyphenation) that are added to the thesaurus. Everything runs locally and rebuilds the statistics and map.
Documents, timespan, sources, authors, distinct keywords, total and mean citations, the corpus h-index, single-authored share, co-authors per document, international co-authorship, annual scientific production with growth rate, top sources, top authors, top keywords, countries (from affiliation text), and the most cited documents. Everything is computed locally and exportable as CSV.
Yes. A filter bar at the top of the dashboard lets you restrict the corpus by publication-year range and minimum citations, and switch the keyword field between author keywords, index keywords, or both. Every ranked panel (sources, authors, keywords, countries, most-cited) has an ⤢ Expand button that opens the full list in a sortable, searchable table where you can exclude noise items with a checkbox and export the table to CSV. Each panel also has a quick Top-N selector. Applying any change recomputes all statistics, the science map and the AI inputs on the edited set.
Beyond the statistics dashboard and science maps: the thematic (strategic) map placing clusters in motor / basic / niche / emerging quadrants by Callon centrality and density; Bradford's Law core-journal zones; Lotka's Law author-productivity fit; a three-fields plot linking authors, keywords and sources; a keyword growth heatmap; a world map of production and international collaboration; a historiograph of direct-citation lineage; and author, source and reference co-citation plus bibliographic-coupling networks. Everything exports to a multi-sheet Excel workbook.
Per item: betweenness centrality (Brandes/Freeman — items with centrality ≥ 0.10 are flagged as pivotal points, the candidate intellectual turning points of Chen's method), Kleinberg burst detection on yearly occurrences (research-front candidates), and sigma = (centrality + 1)^burst as a novelty indicator. Per cluster: silhouette (interpretation confidence). Per network: modularity Q. The Timeline view arranges clusters as lanes against a year axis to show the field's evolution, and reference-based networks (co-citation, bibliographic coupling) reveal the intellectual base of the corpus.
For keyword co-occurrence, two keywords are linked when they appear in the same document; link strength is the number of co-occurrences. For co-authorship, two authors are linked when they co-author a document. Layout uses association-strength normalization and clusters are detected with the Louvain algorithm.
No. Parsing, network construction, layout, clustering and rendering all run locally in your browser. If you use the optional AI features, only aggregated cluster terms (never your raw file) are sent to our AI service to generate the insight.
They are built in — no account or API key needed. The Viewer sends only the top terms of each cluster and summary statistics (never your raw file) to DrAIStudio's AI service, which returns cluster names, a structured interpretation of the field, or candidate research gaps. A fair-use hourly limit applies.
Yes — Biblio Infinity exports standard map and network files (.map, .net), so you can move both directions. other science-mapping software is an independent tool by CWTS, Leiden University; Biblio Infinity is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.

Getting data in. Export from Scopus (CSV with citations + keywords), Web of Science (plain text or tab-delimited), or any RIS source, then drop the file here — or open standard map/network/JSON files directly.
Statistics. Bibliographic exports open on the 📊 Statistics tab: production trend, citations, corpus h-index, top sources/authors/keywords/countries and most-cited documents — with an AI reading one click away and CSV export.
Views. Network colors items by cluster. Overlay colors by a score such as average publication year (yellow = recent). Density shows where the literature concentrates.
Reading the map. Item size = occurrences (weight). Distance ≈ relatedness. Links = strongest co-occurrence ties. Use the resolution slider and Re-cluster to get coarser or finer themes.
AI insights. Open the ✨ AI tab and click an action: name clusters, interpret the structure, surface gaps — built in, no key needed. Treat output as a draft reading — verify before citing.
Markers & metrics. A purple ring marks pivotal points (betweenness centrality ≥ 0.10 — candidate turning points); a red ring marks burst terms (Kleinberg). Legend chips show each cluster's silhouette; the Data panel shows modularity Q. The Timeline view lays clusters out as lanes against a year axis.
