Is PaperLens free?

Yes — completely free and no login required. Paper data comes from the open OpenAlex catalogue and the AI runs on a free model.

Where do the papers come from?

OpenAlex, an open index of 250M+ scholarly works with abstracts, citation counts, and open-access links. More sources (Crossref, Europe PMC, PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov) are planned.

How accurate are the extracted answers?

Each answer is taken only from the paper's abstract; if the abstract doesn't state it, PaperLens says "Not reported in abstract." Always verify against the full text before citing.
