About this scale

A 13-item revised self-monitoring measure with two factors: ability to modify self-presentation and sensitivity to expressive behaviour of others. Improves psychometrics over Snyder's original.

Sample item(s)

“In social situations, I have the ability to alter my behavior if I feel that something else is called for”
“I have the ability to control the way I come across to people”
“I am often able to read people's true emotions correctly through their eyes”
