AI Acceptance / Adoption Intention (post-2020)
Information SystemsReliability: Composite reliabilities > 0.803 sample items
About this scale
A short multi-item measure of an individual's intention to use AI tools at work, anchored in UTAUT and recent AI-specific extensions. Captures performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and trust in AI as antecedents to behavioural intention.
Sample item(s)
“I intend to use AI tools to support my work tasks in the next month.”
“Using AI in my job would enhance my effectiveness.”
“I trust the recommendations made by AI systems at work.”
Reliability
Reported internal consistency: Composite reliabilities > 0.80. As a rule of thumb, Cronbach’s α ≥ .70 is considered acceptable, ≥ .80 good, and ≥ .90 excellent for established measures.
Notes
Combine with the Trust-in-Automation scale (Jian, Bisantz & Drury, 2000) when modelling human–AI collaboration.
