About this scale
A multi-item measure of intention to disclose one's use of AI tools when producing work outputs (papers, code, reports). Captures the new transparency norm of AI-assisted work.
Sample item(s)
“I disclose when I use AI to help write something”
“I tell colleagues when I have used AI on a project”
“I include an AI-use statement in my submitted work”
Reliability
Reported internal consistency: alpha 0.87. As a rule of thumb, Cronbach’s α ≥ .70 is considered acceptable, ≥ .80 good, and ≥ .90 excellent for established measures.
Notes
