Enacted Unethical Pro-Organizational Behaviour
Ethics & CSRReliability: alpha 0.903 sample items
About this scale
A multi-item measure capturing reported actual enactment of UPB rather than willingness, designed for studies that triangulate intention with behaviour. Pair with the Umphress willingness measure for divergent-validity tests.
Sample item(s)
“I have misrepresented the truth so that my organization looks good.”
“I have withheld negative information about my organization's products from customers.”
“I have exaggerated the benefits of my organization's products to clients.”
Reliability
Reported internal consistency: alpha 0.90. As a rule of thumb, Cronbach’s α ≥ .70 is considered acceptable, ≥ .80 good, and ≥ .90 excellent for established measures.
Notes
Operationalizes UPB as a behaviour. Use both willingness (Umphress 2010) and enactment for completeness.
