AI Delegation Behaviour
HR & WorkReliability: alpha 0.843 sample items
About this scale
A multi-item measure of the extent to which employees delegate work tasks to AI systems rather than doing them personally. Captures the new agentic dimension of human–AI work.
Sample item(s)
“I delegate routine tasks to AI tools whenever possible”
“I rely on AI to complete tasks I find tedious”
“I use AI to draft documents that I then review and refine”
Reliability
Reported internal consistency: alpha 0.84. As a rule of thumb, Cronbach’s α ≥ .70 is considered acceptable, ≥ .80 good, and ≥ .90 excellent for established measures.
Notes
Pair with AI over-reliance and AI augmented performance for full delegation modelling.
