AI Displacement Worry
HR & WorkReliability: alpha 0.913 sample items
About this scale
A multi-item measure of worry that AI will displace one's specific role or tasks, distinct from generic job insecurity. Includes role-relevance, time horizon, and reskilling intention.
Sample item(s)
“AI will likely replace key tasks in my current role within five years”
“I fear that AI will make my specific job obsolete”
“Many parts of my job could be performed by AI today”
Reliability
Reported internal consistency: alpha 0.91. As a rule of thumb, Cronbach’s α ≥ .70 is considered acceptable, ≥ .80 good, and ≥ .90 excellent for established measures.
Notes
Pair with FBR-AI and STARA awareness for full AI-displacement modelling.
