AI Leadership / E-Leadership in AI Contexts

LeadershipReliability: alpha 0.864 sample items

About this scale

A multi-item measure of leader behaviours that effectively integrate AI into team work — including AI vision-setting, fostering AI literacy, modelling responsible AI use, and supporting employees' AI-related learning. Builds on transformational leadership and digital-leadership literatures.

Sample item(s)

“My leader articulates a clear vision for how our team should use AI.”
“My leader actively promotes the responsible use of AI in our work.”
“My leader supports me in developing the AI skills I need.”
“My leader models effective use of AI tools at work.”

Reliability

Reported internal consistency: alpha 0.86. As a rule of thumb, Cronbach’s α ≥ .70 is considered acceptable, ≥ .80 good, and ≥ .90 excellent for established measures.

Notes

Treat as distinct from transformational leadership. Avolio, Sosik, Kahai & Baker (2014) e-leadership concept is the closest precursor.
