Conditional Indirect Effect (Moderated Mediation)
HR & WorkReliability: statistical method3 sample items
About this scale
A method for testing whether the strength of an indirect effect (a*b) depends on a moderator. The 'index of moderated mediation' quantifies this dependence and is bootstrapped for significance.
Sample item(s)
“Specify model: X → M → Y, moderator W on a or b path”
“Compute a*b at low/medium/high values of W”
“Index of moderated mediation tests if a*b differs across W”
Reliability
Reported internal consistency: statistical method. As a rule of thumb, Cronbach’s α ≥ .70 is considered acceptable, ≥ .80 good, and ≥ .90 excellent for established measures.
Notes
PROCESS macro supports models 7-15.
