Employee Experience

HR & WorkReliability: alpha 0.85–0.90 across subdimensions3 sample items

About this scale

A multi-item measure of the cumulative subjective experience of an employee through interactions with the organization, encompassing physical, cultural, and digital dimensions. Distinct from engagement because it spans the full employee lifecycle.

Sample item(s)

“My organization provides the technology I need to do my best work. (digital)”
“The physical workplace supports the way I work best. (physical)”
“The culture at this organization helps me thrive. (cultural)”

Reliability

Reported internal consistency: alpha 0.85–0.90 across subdimensions. As a rule of thumb, Cronbach’s α ≥ .70 is considered acceptable, ≥ .80 good, and ≥ .90 excellent for established measures.

Notes

Combine with Morgan (2017) tri-environment model (physical, technological, cultural) for a complete EX scorecard.
