About this scale

A 4- to 8-item measure of the global belief that the immediate supervisor values the employee's contribution and cares about his/her well-being. Treated as a precursor and parallel construct to perceived organizational support.

Sample item(s)

“My supervisor cares about my well-being.”
“My supervisor strongly considers my goals and values.”
“My supervisor is willing to help when I need a special favour.”
